Llama Package Design Concept

Item Chosen For Packaging

To begin creating a unique package, our team brainstormed ideas for items that could act as the product or content of the package. From there, we considered what packages would best suit this item. Below is an image of the object chosen by our group, a miniature Llama. Our team member KK photographed the item alongside a ruler to better understand the llama's size.

Designs for Package

While discussing package design ideas, our team member OZ created the preliminary sketches for the package. The sketch was inspired by a llama package that would "give birth" to the miniature llama in the picture above. Images of llama pinata designs inspired the outside of the llama package. The back portion of the llama is a detachable piece that can be pulled out and holds the miniature llama. The interior of the package would have anatomical drawings of the female llama's reproductive organs, as well as paper structures attached to give the impression of actual organs.

KK's following design was built upon this sketch to include textures and colours similar to those found on pinatas. KK also included an alternative design for the container's interior with images of the llama's reproductive organs inside the package.

Finally, my design for the package is a simplified version without a detachable unit but with a door that can be pulled open at the back. It features 2D images of the llama's reproductive organs on a red background, similar to my team members' designs.
